Our golfcourse

Challenging but fair

The varied layout of the 27-hole course at the Schloss Breitenburg Golf Club poses a challenge even for single-digit handicappers. While recreational golfers appreciate the beauty and fairness of Breitenburg, top players love the challenges presented by the white tees. Reliable greens, picturesque water hazards, carefully designed roughs, and fairways lined with mature trees further ensure a variety of playing conditions and scenic beauty.

When you play in Breitenburg, you can enjoy the landscapes typical of Schleswig-Holstein: the low-lying Geest with its tree-lined avenues, hedgerows, and rolling hills. The low-lying marshland along the Stördeich with its sheep and the Breitenburg Moor with its characteristic ditches. When you play the A-Course or the B-Course, you’ll cross the navigable Breitenburg Moor Canal, pass the lock in Münsterdorf with its small boat harbor, and catch a magnificent view of the 500-year-old Breitenburg Castle from the greens of holes 6 and 12.

At the edge of the forest, on the opposite side of the castle, lie holes 19 through 27 of our newer C-Course. There, the cleverly placed bunkers and the island green on hole 26 demand your full attention. On bad days, some say that the Breitenburg castle and water spirits have thwarted their birdie chances, but we consider that to be just a rumor.

You can round out your round on our rose-lined club terrace or in the cozy rooms of the old manor house. Our team at Sir Loui looks forward to your visit.

A 3-hole short course and spacious practice facilities round out our offerings.

We look forward to welcoming you as a guest or green fee player at the Schloss Breitenburg Golf Club!
