Hello and welcome to our golf course.
Our marshals: Harald Rosenau, Heinz Georg Drensler, Klaus Voß, Thorsten Wezel, and Thomas Unger.
Our marshals are assigned to regulate the flow of play on the course, ensure compliance with the rules of golf and proper etiquette, and promote the careful treatment of the course. They provide information about construction projects, hazardous areas, and daily course rules, and serve as points of contact on the course.
GOALS
All players—whether experienced “old hands” or “beginners”—should be able to benefit as much as possible from the course and the entire infrastructure and enjoy their time at our facility as a recreational experience.
Through targeted assistance and guidance, we aim to ensure an understanding of the game and proper conduct on the golf course. The safety of players is our top priority. Our marshal cart is equipped with a first-aid kit, a defibrillator, and other emergency supplies.
To achieve these goals,
- only authorized golfers should play on the course,
- the flow of play should be maintained during every round,
- rules and etiquette should be observed,
- and order and cleanliness should prevail on the course.
DUTIES
- The marshals ensure
- that golf etiquette is observed,
- that divots are replaced,
- that pitch marks are repaired,
- that bunkers are raked and rakes are properly placed in the bunker,
- that no one drives between the green and the pond,
- that electric carts/trolleys are not driven up to or on tees, aprons, greens, or between bunkers and greens,
- that range balls are not used for play,
- that the pace of play is maintained—a maximum of one hole behind the flight ahead,
- that cigarette butts are disposed of in personal ashtrays.
GAME FLOW
- Here, the marshals must ensure:
- that play continues in the event of delays,
- that a provisional ball is played immediately if there is uncertainty about the ball’s location,
- that the search for balls that are unlikely to be found is abandoned entirely,
- that the ball (in Stableford play) is picked up after a maximum of 8 (par 3), 9 (par 4), or 10 strokes (par 5),
- that golf carts and bags are always placed in the direction of the next tee,
- that the greens are vacated immediately after finishing play via the designated path,
- that tee times are adhered to.
VIOLATIONS
Violations of course and etiquette rules will be addressed immediately with the player in question. Our marshals are authorized to record the player’s name. If the player refuses to comply, the matter will be reported to the club office or management.
In the event of serious violations, marshals have the authority to remove the player from the course. Our marshals have the full support and backing of the Board of Directors in this regard.
Please support our marshals as they carry out their volunteer duties.
Thank you very much.
